Hi, and welcome to Late & Variable — a blog about learning to write programs that learn to write programs.
I’m a PhD student in the Image section at DIKU, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen. I’m interested in AI, the philosophy of science, and progress studies.
The recurring themes here are program synthesis, probabilistic modelling, and the question of what it takes to build machines that reason and generalise the way people do. Expect the occasional detour into physics, philosophy, and whatever else refuses to stay latent.
New posts arrive whenever a good idea finishes inferring itself.
